Reservation at Chateau Lake Louise

The LOC has the pleasure to announce the start of Registration and Hotel Reservation for the 18 International Congress of Comparative Endocrinology (ICCE18) to be held from June 4 – 9, 2017 in Chateau Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada.

As you know Chateau Lake Louise is one of the most desirable locations in the world. In addition, Canadian currency is currently trading lower than a number of other major currencies. As a result, there is a significant international demand for rooms at this location. Chateau Lake Louise has created a reservation site specifically for the ICCE18, which display a very different rate than their normal reservation site. They will follow their normal cancellation policy and may allow cancellation before the date. This creates a practical problem for the organizers since we have to confirm the exact number of rooms. We blocked a specific number of rooms for full delegates and students based on attendance numbers in the previous meetings. To make sure rooms at lower negotiated rates are available for delegates who will attend the meeting, registration in the conference will be required from all delegates in order to maintain room reservations. Students rates are particularly low, and we require a letter from their supervisors to verify their status as a student.
It is also possible for delegates to register at a later date until February 2017, which is the deadline for submission of abstracts, but the rates will increase for rooms at Chateau Lake Louise, since the blocked rooms at lower negotiated rates will go back in the Hotel's normal pool at regular price after August 26, 2016. There are a number of other hotels in and around Lake Louise, but their rates and room availability can vary. It is important to note that most of these locations will require the use of a vehicle for travelling to and from the conference venue at Chateau Lake Louise. If you are considering this option, please check the hotel rates and availability independently before making a decision.

Availability of rooms in Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise will be based on first come first served basis. Please book early while space is available at conference negotiated rate. There are shared student rooms (two in one room) are available for ICCE18 graduate student delegates. These rooms will only be available to full-time graduate students. Their status must be verified by their supervisor. To reserve a student room, please register (select Graduate Students (MSc/PhD)), and follow the instructions to request a student room (http://icce18.ca/registration.html).

Please note: Rooms at low negotiated rates can only be reserved by those registered in ICCE18 to make sure availability for delegates attending the conference, since conference organizers have to guarantee exact number of rooms. Please note, confirmed room reservations from unregistered delegates will be cancelled by the conference office.

Deadline for abstract submission will be February 1, 2017. You can register and submit abstract later.
